Circle of life.

A flower shop is all about life's events. Flowers are only ever bought for emotional reasons.

I love you, congratulations, I'm sorry, happy birthday, happy anniversary, well done, happy new home, I-have-just-cleaned-my-house-and-this-will-be-the-icing-on-the-cake and so on and so forth.

This makes our working lives particularly emotive and we love to hear peoples' stories.

This image is of a biodegradable funeral tribute made last week for a very special lady. The colours requested were very specific and were chosen to reflect and celebrate a life's work. 

When I first started my training, an older and more experienced florist described the work we do as 'hatches, matches and dispatches'. Which made me shudder because I am a total snob and I felt it sounded really common but in essence, it is what we do. 

 As soon as I can think of a more eloquent way of describing the circle of life, I will get back to you.
