Crazy hypnotic craziness.

Dahlias were named the national flower of Mexico in 1963. The tubers were originally grown as a food crop by the Aztecs who also used them to treat epilepsy. Their long and hollow stems earned them the name of 'water pipe flower'.

Attempts to introduce them as a food crop to Europe were unsuccessful - phew!

Dahlias aways bring something extra to the party with their myriad of colours, textures and forms. We LOVE to include them in wedding flowers as like peonies, their season is relatively short so must be included at every opportunity.

If you are heading down to the West Country, you may want to visit this incredible place and lose a few happy hours.....
